Circle R Ranch is located on 220 acres of mixed deciduous woods and fields and swamps and ravines, south-west of London, Ontario in what is considered the Carolinian zone.  The Ranch has been active as a family-run summer camp and outdoor recreational facility since 1966.  Founded by Milly and John Russell, the business continues to be a multi-generational enterprise focused on sharing the beauty and diversity of the land with people of all ages.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that Circle R Ranch sits on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaron (Neutral), and Wendat peoples. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, including the McKee Purchase (Treaty No. 2) of May 19, 1790. We express deep gratitude for the generations of Indigenous peoples who have cared for, travelled through, and maintained relationships with this land since time immemorial. We honour their stewardship of the life-giving waters that flow through these grounds—now called Dingman Creek—on their way to join the Thames (Deshkan Zibi) watershed in Delaware. We give thanks for their tending of the ancient groves of oak, beech, maple, black walnut, hackberry, and mulberry, whose roots still anchor and nourish life here. We recognize their enduring connection with the wild beings of this place—the white-tailed deer, coyote, raccoon, squirrels, chipmunks, and the many birds whose songs greet each new day, as well as the Eagle, Hawk, and Turkey Vulture who watch over us from above. For their care, wisdom, and continued presence, we offer our thanks.
