Summer Day Camps

Day Camp: For Youth SK to Grade 8

Circle R Day Camp offers a fun, memorable experience for children of all ages. Campers enjoy the thrills and adventures of camp each day—playing, exploring, connecting with nature, and making new friends—before heading home each evening. Most importantly, they become part of a caring community that supports their growth, confidence, and sense of belonging.

Day Camp Program

Day Camp offers campers a wide variety of activities in a supportive, well-supervised environment. Campers are placed in groups of 10–12 with one or two counsellors; our youngest Tyke groups always have two counsellors. With additional program staff, the overall camper-to-staff ratio is 3:1, and our small session sizes allow for more personal attention and flexible programming.

The camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Campers are grouped by age:

  • Tykes: SK – Grade 2

  • Juniors: Grades 3 – 4

  • Intermediates: Grades 5 – 6

  • Seniors: Grades 7 – 8

  • Leadership: Grades 9 - 10

Horses & the Riding Program

There’s plenty of horse time for everyone! Day campers enjoy Western pleasure trail rides and learn hands-on horse care, including grooming and tacking up. Our trained staff also lead Equine-Assisted Mindfulness sessions that help campers build awareness, confidence, and a deeper connection with both the horse and themselves. When you sign your camper up for a week of Day camp they get to ride the horses three times, as well as participate in our horsemanship and horse connections programs.

At Circle R, our horse programs help campers grow their riding skills, feel more self-assured, have fun, and experience the excitement of working with these amazing animals!

My 3 kids have attended over a dozen camps in different cities, and this one is By Far their favourite! They loved all the activities, counselors, songs and of course, the horses. They’re already begging to go back next year!
My girls have been coming for a week of camp for the past few Summers. They honestly have the most perfect and magical experience each time they go. As their Mom, I always get a bit teary eye their last day because it is such a great camp. Thank you Circle R Ranch for years of care, knowledge and adventures.
